It was a Biomedical Asia Industry Awards and Gala Dinner. Tickets went for $165 each. haha.. was there in blazar and stuff and everything looks kinda fascinating. Im sure it'll be more fun if im rich enough to stay there for a couple of days=p
Not so concerned with networking and stuff yet. Got an internship for this hols alr and not gonna graduate in 3 years time. haha.. maybe find an internship for nxt yr's hols? heh.
The food was great. Under some seemingly common dishes are their efforts to make the food worth the money. This thing that looks like wanton is actually made of cheese(the skin) and a unique mushroom paste. The usual. I mean its the 5 course western food. Gotta comment that the fine dinning kinda bread that they serve for the first course is so good i think i'll be satisfied to just eat that. haha.. im a bread fanatic=D
oh. and that im really grateful that i learnt fine dinning etiquette in school=)
hmm.. HMM.. and this is a declaration. I'll not touch any more alcoholic drinks in my entire life again. Well, other than maybe 花雕酒and 绍兴酒. No beer no wine. The smell of wine (red and white included) close up made me cringe. And just a tiny drop left a bitter after taste that im afraid i REALLY have NO talent in appreciating. I tried like 0.5mm^3 of each, interpolating based on the fact that 2 titration drops is 1mm^3. haha.. there goes my great plan at being able to act high class in the future yea. No wine appreciation course for me. To sum that up, its: YUCKS.
haha.. that was a little side note. Felt really fortunate to attend such grand event and meet some really funny people=) appreciate everything.
