Biobiz

Biobiz ended with many new friends, a sigh of relief, with a very shag body and a very full stomach. Was doing logistics today and finally get the feel of having to walk all over the place, carrying stuff, being helpful and being worried abt time schedule. haha.. interesting stuff:
1. 'made friends' with the caterer! he recommended the choc eclair and the cheese cake to me prior to the start of the lunch networking session and told me to eat them if i can.
2. The same caterer brought the whole china full of elcair and cheese cake to me before he used them to refill the empty plates on the table.
3. Combed the basement 2 and 3 of the carpark, in search for a run-away signage. There was slight miscomm and apparently we did not get the message that the signages were 'already gone'.
4. the skin of my shoe came off but in a way that it seemed more like the design rather than a spoiling shoe.
5. got very very confused by kah chun: year 5 double retainee? he is just a life sci year 1!
As the saying goes: pigs of a skin colour, walk together.
Its no wonder the guys there that I mixed well with are of similar calibre and me as well as my jc class mates.
The highlight of the day i would say, is the food. 3 buffets running in a roll. There was morning tea with sandwiches, 'crystal' bao, cup cakes (diff flavour), tuna puff... Because we can only eat after the tea is over, when all hell breaks loose, it was like food food food.
Lunch was pretty high class, with fried rice, pasta, chicken rendang, beef curry, vege, mussels and prawns. Then there was the dessert which i mentioned: cheese cake, oreo cake, choc eclair, brownie, nachos, salad, guay-bai-di.. Had a taste of being a caterer as i extended my help to help keep to the timeline. That was an interesting experience! Let me say this: this is no lab-sap buffet. The food is tasty!
Committee dinner was at Grand Park Hotel behind Peninsular Plaza. The environment of the location is not fantastic and the variety was pretty limited. However, the type of food that they serve and the taste of the food is good! Tempura, soft shell crab, unagi, loads of salmon(raw and cooked), beef, mutton, iced prawns, sushi, tim sum (got har-gao!), ice cream, cakes( choc truffle, orange mousse), biscuit, traditional cheese, chocolate fountain, salad and lots more. Personally, I love the soft shell crabs and the dessert.
Enough about food. Im so shag and my feet hurts so much that I so desperately need to sleep. Will update this post and add pics another day. its 7 day weeks!

am staying in a positive mood. been into so many meetings that i cant be bothered to count but yea. at least im meeting people that i dun mind meeting so thats fine.
three bday parties but probably going for only one or maybe none. first one clashed with biobiz and i absolutely cannot make it since commitment for biobiz is till 11pm. 2nd and 3rd clash with one another. one has a theme of beach wear and the other retro. hmm.. interesting. haha.. i dun hav either. beach wear is probably easier to settle but well, have promised to go for the 'retro' one b4 i know of the theme. hmm... how abt passing the present at her door step and be gone. haha.. i really dun mind.
been given charge of caterer for biobiz esp for the lvl2 food catered for 350. well, as everyone knows, i love food and have like approximately zero resistance to them. heh. they better be sure that there are enough food to feed everyone. With me ard, one just cant be too sure=) i heard that there is FISH~~. morning tea, lunch networking and the VIP section on lvl 2. starting to get to know more of the biobiz ppl. think thats kinda good. but if i had been more commited, i would have known them long time ago. hmm.. well.
it had been a non-holidayish holiday for good friday. haha.. basically, my days are no longer splitted into wkdays and wkends. its jus DAYS. tts it. haha.. good friday was for 2125 proj meeting from 2-7 plus 8. sat had biobiz meeting from 1-6. and sunday met up with pj and ks to do assignment 1030-1230 and tuition 1-3 and airport to send my little bro. he is going to INdia for army. and you see how my time jus flashed pass. oh. and i see pj ALL the time.

A: she is very childish.. (aka youthful)

i guess my mentality kinda changed. maybe age is catching up on me=)
not that i really made full use of my time despite the piling work=) sometimes i think that im just so slack=D novels and tv. non-lesson nor meeting times are used for that. lalala~~ just thinking of them make me feel better already.
thr was the usual kbox offer from biz side. this coming friday 28th. told miao that i'll jio them when thr is this offer since i missed the previous kbox outing. but had to give it a miss AGAIN cos of biobiz dryrun. i so want to sing that i sing in my head when im stoning, walking, dreaming. NO JOKE. I really think of myself singing okie. haha.. tt sounds kinda weird. no imaginations from anyone please.
oh. btw, anyone has any idea how to change my phone setting such that the +65 will not affect the display of the contacts? i know that most phones probably ignore +65 since its the spore code. but apparently, my very cute nokia 5610 doesnt. so yup. i have absolutely no idea most of the time who is msging me. gotta guess. and when it's a mass msg, its not a very fun guessing game.
chinese tea works wonders for me as usual. for someone who used to have insomnia, any source of caffeine will probably work=) wide awake at 1217am. haha..

Chill

Feeling a little of the tug and pull for my attention recently. Getting a little short on patience and its entirely my fault because I cant help feeling slightly irritated at myself for not doing my best for the projects and the piling work that I have. Haix.. sometimes I do not know if it is a good thing to be a completely self-motivated person or not. On one hand, Im seriously not very bothered by anything happening around me. On the other hand, no one can make me put in extra effort if I don't want to. Its completely up to me. Dejavu.
Well, feelings under check. hmm.. irritation can occur in parallel with having fun yea. Celebrated Sandi's 22nd Bday at BK in school with a BK breakfast treat from her. Got her a pair of earrings and a small piece of cake. Was really pleased with myself of thinking of putting 22 candles on the cake. However, due to practicality, we used 1 big and 11 small ones. hee. The candles were so close that they can almost light one another up. Just light one and cascade effect can see to the lighting up of the rest of them=) Love having fun.
Saturday was a completely long day for me. Had an interview in the morning and the results are not out yet. The interviewer told me first thing that based on my profile, I would usually be out of their scope of consideration. Apparently they have a liking for students bordering around the passing grade as they want to give opportunities to those who don't have it. hmm... weird criteria but yup.. still hoping that i'll get it.
Carried bags of speakers gift that finally arrived at BHG BUgis back to school. It was after quite some amount of prompting that the BHG staff went down personally to get the goods from their suppliers. Despite the long wait, Im really grateful that some of them were thoughtful enough to offer it. THANKS ALOT (thou they'll not get to read this). The bags were heavy. GOt to know another girl from BioBiz called HuiMin. Sweet and softspoken. hmm.. at least now I know who is Christine, Xinyi, HuiMin and ShanEr.
ok. gotta let myself chill abit by reading another novel tonight and sleeping earlier. Im an advocate for holidays!!! hee. Good Friday is COMING!!!=D

What other than 6cups of chinese tea and a Little Elephant Apple Crumble Head as a friend can keep me awake at unearthly hours like 122am?

Fruitful Day=D

Met Ms Chong (CTW Tutor) and Foong Yi for lunch today. haha.. Ms Chong had slimmed down so much.. gym visits and a stressful 4yr old kid. haha.. pleasant memories of the happy time during CTW, the slacking and the mega lunch trips during lesson time! We'll have to meet up soon before Yong Kai transfer to SMU..

Went out with Mum today for a shopping trip.. looking at shoes and bags and jackets etc etc.. i always have a fetish for jackets.. since... i dunno when. haha..but thats not to say i own alot of them cos things that i like generally dun suit me very well. But well, may buy a couple of jackets when im feeling rich again. Same goes for shoes! Saw that same Americaya shoe that my feet couldnt fit! haha.. still like it. hmm.. maybe i can.. shrink my feet? =D

The trip ended with a splurge at a restaurant that my mum had been wanting to bring me to. For the ambience and view and what have you. haha.. Had a lesson at Biz about Western Fine Dinning Ettiquette. Somehow, the restaurant that i went to felt like one of those Chinese Fine Dinning locations. The lighting, the white China and the very very impressive kettle stout! Its the LONG LONG kind! haha.. traditionally Chinese and Impressive! I think i looked so SUA GU that the guy using that long long kettle (LLK) kept staring. haha.. even the kids there werent as.. eh.. curious as me? I WANT TO LEARN how to use that LLK!! oops. I seem to have missed an important point. Eh. the place is one the 60th storey of the UOB plaza i think. At raffles place. Its called 天外天. Imagine the magnificent birdeye view up from 60 storey, overseeing the vessels and stuff. ITs the OMG-ish pretty kind. haha..They serve Chinese ranging from ala carte to set meals to vegetarian food. hmm.. but.. there is of course a price to pay for the view la. Nothing is free. Not even air. Cos u gotta plant trees to replenish them=p

Was reminded of how i trained myself to 'serve food' the Chinese way, with a spoon and a fork. U know, u hold them in a certain way and u 'GIAP' the food up. hee. Was in China in Sec 1. Suzhou. I first saw it and I picked it up on the spot=) haha.. im always very excited about learning such stuff. haha..

This is the fortune cookie. There is a note inside. Mine reads: Have a fruitful day! Relish a platter of fruits with compliments from Si Chuan Dou Hua.oooo.. and the beancurd melts in the mouth. I can hardly taste it with the sweet wolfberry that they added=) No one's complaining=D

Brought my mum to The Central since she has never been there=) She bought a bag and a top. hee. Pretty view from Clarke Quay. Love that place but sorry for the lousy resolution!Wah.. haha.. fruitful day indeed yah. Happy~~ oh. forgot to mention that yesterday, Glad and I did something very sotong. We went for a talk one week prior the event date. haha.. literally monkey see monkey do. =p

Saturdays

Another day spent at the bras basah mac donalds. It has become my dwelling place many saturadays ever since the start of this sem. Met up with PJ and Glad to undergo what we term as the child abuse session=p waking up early on a saturday morning to attempt the mountain of work and to logicalise our workings=D
Happy that the speaker's gifts are settled and that BHG had called to confirm existing stock. So, am waiting for the orders to arrive before collection. Prowling was done in a long FOUR hours. Raffles City, Marina Square, Suntec City and finally Bugis. AND there it was. The crystal stuff that barely fell within budget.
Hee.. first time experiencing a very grumpy shopping trip with PJ. haha.. she was like... its 430 alr. its 5 alr. its 6 alr!! etc etc. haha.. wats worst was the heavy textbook and labtops that we brought for our work in the morning. haha..
=Luckily the four hours and my aching calfs are worth it=

Oooo.. got bitten by one hungry mosquito today!! or was it TWO desperate mosquitoes?! I had a total of 9 rashes on my left arm and my feet early in the morning at 9am. They must really be hungry. Right now, Im NOT GOING to sit at that location for another month. AND to warn people, its the tables right outside LT7 and Olive Clove.
OOOOO!!!! and I cant believe that i made such an impossible mistake. I calculated my answer to be 'square root of 400'.

Biobiz is coming coming and I forgot to ask for quotations the whole of today=p Am so absent minded. haha.. but thats me. Having this tendency of forgetting things half way through. Extremely bad with names. I guess, people just come and go. Especially so in uni where you can just strike up a conversation with just about anybody and still end up not being friends. haha.. the line between acquaintance and friendship=p The good thing is you'll not be afriad of attending lectures alone. But there's really no one that you can ask for a shopping trip either. hmpf.
Anyone surprised because I met Black for lunch with glad? Ate at the canteen at his office. Such an ulu place on top of a hill. I guess there is potential in such a location. First of all, its on a hill top. Ideal location for the rich people staying in the region for residential purposes. Secondly, there is no blockage, making it perfect for fresh air and slacking and may be star gazing? -tourist attraction. Last of all, its an excellent venue for exercising. The 80 steps up the hill is just nice for training of the legs, without any serious danger of your leg giving up half way through=)
Well, the concept of the architecture is those typincal of the Science industry, very slick and clear cut, SMART. hahah.. the happiest thing is the fact that we got a treat from Black. haha.. cheat him into it though he QUITE gentlemanly offered after that=p We'll treat him when he makes his way to NUS to 把媚. 1-2 and 2-1. You see nett profit coming your way! HAHA.. The 油鸡面is okie, except for the fact that its a little too easily digested=p haha.. was starving by 5pm.
Pretty surprised that Pj has heard of Meh before but not Black. Thats so.. not possible =D Meh~Pj can probably be your good friend. haha.. Forgot to take a photo of Black to show Pj. hee.. Was having fun recollecting how Black was so popular back in Tj and had his own fan club. People will start to 偷拍 him outside the Auditorium or Lecture Theatre or from opposite the library through the glass! hee. I think I could have made a fortune out of his photos if I had been less ethical=)

HELLO~~ feeling this sense of relieve and really enjoying this breather from school work. Its been.. TOO MUCH WORK. hee. All my midterms are finally over. Well, didnt do as well as I could have due to loads of silly mistakes and short term memory. But nevertheless, since they are over and done with, I shall not spend any time dwelling on them=D There are so many other things I can spend my time on yea=p oops. am i becoming someone who is less and less concerned about performance? Very likely.
FLV post events are over already. The only thing left is the PD-treat and that will very much depends on how long ZH takes to save up yea. haha.. but considering the fact that she bought cakes for bday celebrations, pizzas for our dinner and just being nice, I'll not be too gek gao even if she takes damn long=D but thats not saying that she doesnt have to treat yea. She still has to. AND IM STILL WAITING.
My friend, Khai, turned out to be CLEO's 6th Most eligible bachelor. haha.. personally im pretty impressed but well, he's really a little shy about it. And its not the finals yet. Carnival is this wkend at Zouk. PJ, if u want to go support, let me know yea. He asked again today=) and there is something called 自投罗网 and 羊入虎口. haha.. he reminded me that he still owes us a Ben and Jerry's treat. HE reminded me. Its NOT ME chasing after the ice cream k? haha.. tentatively on wednesday 2 wks from now. heh. 2nd treat in line. lalala. no wonder im growing fat=)
Finally finally BioBiz seemed real to me as the work starts to be delegated. the Ssi Kang WARRIORS literally. Poster pasting and booth. haha.. Im damn used to that already though. hmm.. the event company, caterers and photographers will be handled by other people. PJ and I will do the speaker gift and the event timeline. haha.. I love doing timelines. especially for myself since Im very clear about my ability to keep to it if I want to. But in general, those timelines are abit over idealised and difficult to follow when involving more than one party=p Thinking of getting some nice artsy pieces for the gift. Any suggestions?
Been into reading newspapers on the trains nowadays. Now that I have learnt the pleasure of reading it, I realise the wealth of information in those ugly stacks of recycle papers that I was once forced to touch. Well, rather than 'investing' on Time, Finanial Times, Business Times etc etc, I think I should conquer my Straits Times and 早报 first. Hope that this pleasant addition to my range of hobbies is here to stay!
There are still so many things that I need to buy. But am still saving up for SEP which have yet to be confirmed. hmm... HMM... its money money money all over again=)
Got this view from the NUS MPSH of trees that I think looks like the entrance to some enchanted forest. So serene. BUt well, thats only because of the angle that I was sitting at. Its really just a patch of greeneries but it made me take three pictures of it. Maybe I was bored. Will post them when Im free=)
