Kawaii

He weighs a whooping 14kg at the age of 1. I weight 18kg when I was 7yrs old. and look how I turned out. hmm. So 14kg at 1 is abit.. =p
Proud that I was the only one among my siblings that he offered his hug to! haha.. and trust me.He can dance already. All u gotta say is: Come on. dance. and he'll be dancing with such energy and enthusiam. If u say: who is Wayne Lin Jun Feng? He will raise his right hand. and yup. thats his name. haha... he looks cuter than the photo can show yea. Cos it was difficult to get him looking at the camera. So yup. the take-away for today is that I have a very cute nephew!
Just by the way, I have alot of niece and nephews. More than 20 of them. haha.. my parents are the younger ones among their siblings. I have a niece who is older than me. So you roughly see the picture.
Hey Wayne. Sending a Flying Kiss to you! Sleep tight! =D
Glad, we'll work hard together next sem!

FUN
We went for klunch today. Our treat to kenneth for editting all our MNO video last time. haha... I felt at ease singing with them probably because we have all done so many silly things together during the video filming that we no longer had any face left to throw=D (I fell down twice in front of them during the filming process) But anyway, each of them are unique singers. Cecily can sing. I really suspect that she is in choir somewhere. Maybe her church. But she is really really bias towards Jay. haha.. not that there is anything wrong with that since she can sing almost everything else as well=) Pui Fong is a very gentle singer. She can sing 假装very well. Steady high pitched pleasant voice. Pardon me for mot using professional terms here 'cause I'm really not much into music. Shyan LISTENS to almost all the songs. haha. But all the songs that she sings sounds very sweet. There is this song that was supposed to be very romantically sad. She sung it in such a cute and hyper fashion that Benny almost screamed at her. haha.. He was trying to be emotional. Hmm.. Kenneth is a very serious singer. Maybe because he is nearest to the screen, he seems like he is concentrating. Low and soothing. Im sure if I wasn't making so so so much noise, we could have heard the tinge of 惆怅in his voice. Lastly, Benny. He has a deep rumbling voice that if trained, can 感动others ba. Hmm.. Guys with richer voice usually make it big as singers yea. Despite some problems with some of the pitch, I think its great showmanship that he sang with such energy=)
haha.. of course, Im just around, making alot of noise to disturb everyone else. Commenting that Ken's new haircut looks like a squirrel. Erm, a feminine one=p haha.. he is the 2nd squirrel that I see in NUS already.
Thereafter was a game of Pool. Trust me when I say we girls cant play pool. haha.. my 3rd attempt at pool. Self-evaluation: Weak control of the rod that is so so so long, cant aim properly and seriously cannot execute strategies. haha.. the reason why some of the balls went in was because of sheer luck. Maybe aiming at number 3, but hit 4 which hit 5, which hit 6 which accidentally dropped into the hole. haha.. so yup. Ben and Ken, I CANT play pool even though my luck was pretty good just now. And I can fake a stance. And thanks for the free pool game=p Girls, we will go out for pool training again yea.
Seriously love my MNO group. So sporting and easy going. Was afraid that I had to push pull threaten bribe people to go K. But well, it was done in 10seconds=) We'll meet up again when school reopens!

Blended
haha.. but speaking of embarassment, we did make a great joke at sim lim that probably made the day of quite a few people. haha.. as u know, some of the companies at sim lim has a few shops in the same building. We went into one of the shop and this very friendly salesperson actually pointed their boss to us. The boss was in the shop opposite, which belongs to the same company actually. hmm.. we saw that the boss was wearing a beige shirt. hmm.. we tried stalking but lost our target. haha.. there was a guy wearing white shirt with beige stripes. I assured Karen that that man is just a shopper. hmm.. we lost the boss. So, we approached another person in that shop opposite, who brought us back to the shop we went to initially and we found THE BOSS. haha.. he is the guy in white shirt with beige stripes la. Karen and I have asmagtism. so yup. that friendly salesperson was very very entertained by us. hmm.. =D we were giggling like.. idiots. Must be Karen's fault=p
My school time table is in a mess right now. hmm... thinking of 6 modules next sem.
And some unpleasant and worrisome things happened today. I guess all will turn out fine. Gambatte!
27th dec- FLV mkting
28th dec- MNO outing
29th dec- not sure if MKT outing is still on
30th dec- eating sushi at dunno whr=p

Simply Great
Had FLV outing to MINDS cafe. haha.. The guys are simply FUNNY. Woohoo.. they are a fun lot and really enjoyed the games much more then the last time I went. Well, and i guess thats an affordable outing place since happy hour can cost as little as 5.85 for 4hrs of games and free flow of drinks. Of course they serve food (Finger food and main course) for extra charges. Not very expensive but eh. If you are there for the food you are probably going to be disappointed. They are famous for board games and not food=D Taboo is fun. And I finally learnt to play saboteur. Didnt play during Taiwan trip even though my friends were super enthu about it. Heya. I know how to play already.
My results are out, one day before my peers. Finally have sufficient modular credits to be promoted to CHE2. But Im still BBA1 i guess. haha.. Because Im a yr1 inside the computer system, I had the luxury/nightmare of checking my results earlier. Improvement!
Non-culmulative:
Yr1 Sem 1- 4.33
Yr1 Sem2- 4.00
Yr2 Sem1- 4.50
Now my CAP is 4.29. But Biz CAP is CUI. 4.08... hmpf. Nt good but improving. Damn myself for my Yr1sem2! AND I have a B every single sem. Remember my very cui biochemistry module which i got a C for during my CA? Well, its a B now. Should I be relieved that its not anything lower than that? haha.. but anyway, im selling off the textbooks!
Jia you to myself for next sem. If my CAP cui, i'll just pay $200 to forego my SEP and stay in Singapore to pull my CAP!!=)
GOOD LUCK to friends who havent yet check their results!!

Heute ist eine gut tage
Went to the Asian Civilization Museum again on the 22nd as I said I would.
Went with my brother. haha.. I KNOW HOW TO WRITE FATHER IN ARABIC!
The museum comprises of three stories. Indian on the 1st storey, Asia on the 2nd and SEA on the 3rd! hehe. My brother is a damn poser. Took photos with his shades along the stairway and he claims that he is a natural model because the photo that I TOOK for him is damn nice. Its really ME who knows how to strike the correct angle yea. Check out photos soon when I extort them from him.

The place being near clarke quay and the singapore river is such a pretty sight. I was staring at Fullerton Hotel all the while. All the glam and posh. So European. If only my exchange is to Europe. But well, maybe California isn;t that bad as well. I like to look at buildings, at scenary and cultural rich stuff. I love the european architecture that I see in Fullerton! Told my brother that if I don't make it to Europe soon (Hee. sounds like im trying to swim over right=p), I might want to stay a night at Fullerton. Then, he reminded me that the money is enough for me to travel elsewhere already. So yup. If I don't go to Europe soon, maybe I'll go... Taiwan, Brunei, Korea, China etc etc=)

Yesterday was dong zhi. My whole family went visiting to my grandpa's house. Just look at how happy he looks when he sees us! I love to see him laugh. He looks kind of cute. Thereafter I met wen and miao at Orchard. X'mas present was a tshirt from stitch and a promised breakfast treat=) Did some shopping at Cottonon. Well, that place is confusing! The stuff are cheap, its near christmas and add them together, you have loads of people. Dinner was at Breeks on the 5th storey of Taka. Had Fish and Shrimp 'Lafayette'. This is fabulous. With unanimity, we agreed that that's a place worth visiting again. Basically, it was grilled Dory served with 3 shrimps and Croele sauce. Don't know what is Croele sauce? Haha.. i don't exactly know as well, but its a sauce that I suspect they made using tomato, chilli and some other unknown stuff=p The taste is a little spicy (NOT suitable for Guo An), a little sour and a little sweet. It is VERY VERY nice. I won't say no to it if anyone wants to treat me=p
Gladys' piano concert today. Not bad, the singing, dancing, beat boxing, piano and guitar performance. Alot of cute little kids around, especially this little girl who just looks like a little princess in her long dress. My guess is that she is 5. Long flowing hair and you can't imagine how eye catching she is! Met karen, da bai, Brenda and Giles over there=) Jia ying looks great today and we went to the library after the concert before Glad could even come and hunt us down after the concert. Loads of books with me now. Glad and Clara played piano and guitar respectively and each sang when the other played. Best Friends=)
Almost forgot to mention that my brothers and I (plus my dad) went on all fours today to scrub the kitchen floor together=D The last time we did this together like that was.. maybe 7-8years back. My younger brother didnt want to do it until he thought it looked so fun to be able to like 'skate' across the floor. haha.. we are big kids once again! Be careful! Like what Gladys say: I can sue you for child abuse! IM a KID! =D

Family Outing
The story goes: Jet (庞清云)was a General who feign death during war to escape death. The honesty when he admited that was quite impressive. Thumbs up for his personality. He then met Andy's(赵二虎)wife and they fell in love. Never did Jet know that he will meet TK(姜午阳), who was a fellow bandit of Andy. TK brought Jet to meet Andy. It was only then that Jet found out that his 'woman-of-his-dream' was the wife of the man he was to be sworn brothers with. The process of becoming sworn brothers is known as 投名状.
Jet led them to serve the army so that they'll no longer be bullied and never have to suffer from hunger. TK trusted Jet wholeheartedly, with the naivity that I thought only a little boy can pull off. And the climax of the movie came when stranded outside the City of Suzhou without rations in an extended war, Jet and TK went to look for help. Meanwhile, seeing that a wait was undesirable, Andy entered the city as an opium seller. The ruler saw through his disguise as some of Andy's childhood friends who did not enter army with Andy went on to serve the ruler. For the sake of the people of Suzhou who were stuck in the city, the ruler let Andy kill him in exchange of the freedom of his people and the lives of his soldiers. This part was quite unexpected as the 'foreplay' of the duel was quite seriously-fighting sort. Im so proud of the ruler! Very 伟大!
While the army celebrated the success of Andy, Jet was unwilling to feed the soldiers of Suzhou as rations was lacking. Letting them go will mean a future threat. He fed them their last meal and kinda ordered for their extermination. Andy was very agitated as he is a man of his words and TK got people to lock him up while the execution of the killing was taking place. You might be thinking that Jet and TK are heartless pigs. Well, they were very very sad as they were forced to kill friends who they have known for years. But the practicality of war left them no choice. It was the 热血男儿泪 kinda thing. Faced with a similar situation, I'm not sure that I can make such decisions. Therefore, I'm not one suited for really big things. Will never be able to deal with the guilt. So yup, 平凡也是一种幸福yea.
They went on to defeat another city but their brotherhood was actually more of a facade, at least between Andy and Jet. Hmm.. Jet was given a 两岸总督post by the empress dowager who then ordered for the death of Andy. Jet tricked Andy to a deserted place and ambushed him. TK meanwhile found out about the extra-marital affairs of Jet and his Sister-in-law and about how Jet was planning to kill Andy. He deduced that his Sister-in-law must be the key to the souring relationships between Jet and Andy. He killed his sister-in-law. Jet suffered the lost of both a brother and his lover.
依投名状, 兄弟若有杀我兄弟者,必杀之. With this, TK tried avenging for Andy. He did not have the capabilities to kill Jet, but the empress dowager had already ambushed to help him shoot Jet to death, with all thinking that TK was the one who killed Jet. For that, TK was executed two months later.
So you see, big movies end with everyone dying. Oh well. DEAD. With the ability to feel for the characters and understand the emotional turmoil that each was going through, you should find this movie rather good. Not recommended for people who think more with their head and less with their heart because the storyline does not requires much analysis on the viewer's part.
Just a side note: TK has teeth that are super white (not a vulgarity) and straight! He should be the spokesperson for some toothpaste!

Tage fur Spiele

Heh. surprised them with Christmas presents=) Thanks Lily for the post-dinner snack!
Spent the morning doing some stupid things now that my brother is back with wierd stuff from US:
OMG. These are really stuff that only kids will do. Like pose with sunglasses and hugging a big softtoy. Trust me. That bear is really really cute. Im glad that my brother didnt give it away so at least I can still play with it=D That shades is from Timberland. Not the sort that a kid will usually play with yea. hee

哥哥在家的日子
是的。本人上有兄长,下有小弟。(万万没想到国安居然不知道我老哥的存在。必竟,他来过我家N次)。
老哥在家的好处:
1)Fossil手表多了一支
2)Abercombie的衣服多了一件
3)做家事的手多了一双
4)耍白痴的对象多了一位
老爹老娘笑呵呵。全家相约周末赴戏院去也!
heh. Had meeting today. hmm.. not bad. Got to know more people. Really happy to note that our FLV marketing is considered not bad in the eyes of others=D
Big fishes are swimming towards PRU. Can't help feeling excited at the prospect of more events and also more collaboration with the big organisations outside. Lets make NUS a more vibrant place, not only to the students, but also be made known to the public and corporate world!! haha... excite excite.
Follow up calls to be done tomorrow. Left it aside for far too long already because of SLC and stomach flu.

Small things=)
I HAVE PAINFUL FINGERS NOW!!
My gor gor is coming back. Back at 6am tmr. So im going to the airport to fetch him and say HELLO. haha.. I bet he'll roll his eyes and give me the 懒得理你 face. haha.. that what brothers are for. Just like sisters are meant for ACTING silly. I emphasize: ACTING. 'cos we are really smart creatures who knows how to pull off a facade=D
This chinese doctor that I have been to since.. primary school days gave me something for my circulation. hmm... according to my rough estimation, I am destined to finish 2 gigantic bottles of medicine in 4 days. The problem is that that clinic goes by markings on the bottle instead of the usual table spoon. 4 times a day 2 markings per intake. Doesnt take a genius to figure out that thats like 8 markings per day. One bottle has only 16 makrings. hmm.... and trust me. The bottle is not the miniature ones that we get for cough/flu/what-have-you at any polyclinics. This is at least (initial estimate) FOUR times that volume. hmm.. HMM... bleahz.
I am desperate for some action! Maybe Badminton with glad n pin, table tennis with adeline, bowling with miao and wen? Hope all of these will materialise. haha.. cos im rotting alr=P
lalala.. great day ahead!
ps. my mom wrote her wish for Singapore on that inflatable ball that they provide at the library that are to be used at marina during new year. she wrote so much that it spanned the entire ball by one round. hee.. around the ball in 10 min!!=D
Cant believe that meh went to the same temple as I did. AND I cant believe that viruses can travel that far.

Hmm..
The first storey was kinda like the main praying hall. Very brightly lit, air conditioned and like most religious venues, has this very artistic architecture about it. All those fine details, carvings... People will wonder, hundreds of years down the road, how on earth did their ancestors managed to do it. By the way, we went there to light up a candle for my brother since he was supposed to have 3 papers on the same day. Very symbolic as its like wishing that he can see light in the dark tunnel kinda thing.
The 3rd storey was a display room for the entries of a photography conpetition that they had. Well, personally it felt as if im back to my sec1-2 days when we are asked to make sense of some Surrealism art pieces. Why do people think of shooting from that angle, what each of the parts symbolised etc etc. I miss art lesson!!
The 4th storey was a mini musuem for Buddhism relics. eh.. Most of the people visiting are the westerners. Im pretty much surprised by the respect they pay to something that is not an integral part of their community. They may not be Buddhist, but the way they maintain an open mind is worth mentioning. haha.. most locals will briefly glance through the statues etc etc but they really read every single description! This particular statue captured by attention. I particularly like the proportion of the head to the rest of the body. Comic-like-cuteness=D

I like the fact that a golden ingot was made of mud/clay. Its a little philosophical for me I guess. Not to discriminate and not to live for the sake of pursuing only the golden moments of life.

Well, I think im not supposed to touch anything in a musuem. Note that I haven't yet touched it yet. But looking at a 'laughing-buddha' and not being able to touch the stomach and pull the ears felt WRONG. haha..
Of course there are those that makes you marvel at how our ancestors did it. Details and loads of details!

The 5th storey was a garden, mostly orchards. I love flowers. I love gardens. haha.. having grown up with loads of potted plants, I felt... at home (literally). haha..
There was a big cylindrical-wheel-like-rotatable thing that one is supposed to rotate 3 times clockwise. A ritual supposedly to make one's life more smooth sailing (purely my guess). With every round you rotate, there is this mechanism that makes a 'gong' sound. Special respect to the mechanical engineers! Given the chance, I would like to know how to create that too! But first guess is that the mechanism should be a rather straight forward one. Just give me a couple of days to observe... haha..
Went to Chinatown after that. Pearl centre where I spent most of my childhood days at. My mom used to be working in the offices there and I always tagged along=D Introducing my favourite dim sum: Har-Gao and my favourite pasam malam food: tapioca cake =DDon't like the way most dim sum sellers cheat my feelings and mix a little prawns to loads of chicken/pork. Hello. The reason why I ordered har-gao is because I like the prawns!!
hmm.. Yesterday wasn't a very good day.. first thing: I half-fainted in the morning in a chinese medicinal hall near my home while my mom was there for her finger. Images faded and the ear felt like there is water inside after a swim. The Chinese doctors managed to make me regain consciousness. They say that my blood circulation is kinda lousy. In the afternoon, I went to the Western doctor. Well, I was running a fever, accompanied with dehydration, low blood pressure and stomach flu. After sleeping for 20hrs in the past 24 hrs, I kinda felt alot better alr. haha... Good enough to blog at least. A little humor in all these was the fact that this is the first time Im having low blood pressure. Seriously, I always worried about getting high blood pressure since its in the genes. But low blood pressure is a little... Im alright already! Up and about=D

Back!

Living example of team bonding. hmm... despite not being there half the time, Im really really happy that they enjoyed themselves!
heh. Went back to NUS to return NUSSU stamp on tuesday and was stuck in school by the heavy rain. Karen's shoe betrayed her and spoiled on the way. The entire sole kinda came out. haha.. I laughed so hard because she made it all seem so funny!! Went to her house so she can change her shoes. Thanks to her mom for her 'tau sa pia' that kept me from starving! Damn. Should have taken a photo of the 'runaway' sole. haha.. But thats a little difficult considering the heavy rain.
Broke camp at 5pm yesterday. 12th Dec- my parents' Wedding anniversary. Went out for steam boat buffet.

This was the deco outside and inside the place that we had dinner. Thought they are kinda pretty and reminded me of the approaching Christmas.
Met some sponsors here and there. All quite nice and have some progress here and there. hmm.. Hope to have more success soon!

Excite
Went for SLC dryrun today. Got to know quite a few squad 2ers finally since most of the PRU people that I have met so far are all from squad 1 and 3! haha.. And got to know 2 juniors. haha.. so innocent and uninformed about engine as of yet. But not to worry. They are all smart people. So im sure they'll manage to siam all the booby traps that chem eng has set in place for them!!
The games were alright. Innovative ways of publicity for sponsors. The station masters are nice, zi-high people. The comm ppl eg.feng fu always appears when we are going to get lost. So stalking became a small habit. Had to ask the public for some help to accomplished some task. haha.. KIDS!!! I see lots of KIDS!! okie. emotions under check. But they're really really cute and really just follow what we ask them to do! Thanks to their dad, we accomplished 2 tasks right on the spot! Not sure if I can post their picture since I havent thought of asking for permission on the spot. So i'll leave it with me for personal viewing purposes ya. The only dumb thing is that: after going through the entire dryrun for today, I realised that I will not be able to join my groupies during this activity! Will be out meeting sponsor! then whats the point right?! haha.. CHEATED-by myself. Am looking forward to the camp and to meeting new nice people that I may never get to know without this camp. haha.. Hoping for a very high group.
Tuition resuming tomorrow after a 3 week self declared break during my exams. haha.. hope he havent lagged behind by too much! Ken! Work Harder! AND See Lai, thanks ah. suan me for ending exams so late. This is not the way ya! We'll see when lessons resume early jan. heh heh~
Don't know why but I feel tired already. Guess its the lack of sleep ever since exams has ended. Well, at least I managed to sleep enough during exam period, averaging abt 8-9hrs per night. Now its more of 5-6hrs. Doesnt make any sense does this? haha..

我的‘八米岛 ’日记:第一天
SEP is a real trouble now. Haix. For one thing :money. Am I willing to put in ten of thousands to go for a brief 4mths, coming back with like zero savings? But it'll really be a waste if I don't because its not exactly that easy to get a place. And i'll probably get blacklisted by the Chemical Engineering Department for all subsequent activities.
I announced to wen and miao that as of today, im on a tight budget. I mean a very tight budget yea. Thanks meh for the his 5cents worth. and ya. its not too difficult to figure out that you read my blog. haha..

Went to Asian Civilisation Musuem today. Happened to meet this western tour guide. Think she is really comprehensive in her introduction of the stuff. Well, I was a leech. I just strolled behind her tour group and enjoyed free service=) Want to go back again since I was in a rush today. $5 Any one?

Was out at funan for dinner with mom and dad after going to the bank. This indian guy can speak Chinese very well! haha.. his tactic: stun the passer by so that they'll stop to buy prata from him. Well, I did because I was really craving for it anyway.

Will upload some pictures soon when Im done with my SEP application. No personal time for at least the next 10 days. So yea. Im sorry to my MNO group mates. I know we had our 'Great plans'. But really, any more activities b4 the 17th dec is going to kill me. haha..
Okie. mapping!

Bummy lander aka Bummians
Had ice blended mocha today from coffee bean. My 2nd cup of coffe for the year, believe it or not. haha.. AND I had a stomache after that. haha.. the sponsor was nice enough, easy going and he promised us quite a few stuff. Right now we have to come up with the contract fast!
Met wen and miao for dinner @ fish n co. Peri Peri catch. Dory filet with peri peri sauce which is actually made form mexican chilli. Nice. But the spicy index is really.. mediocre. But for people who think that sambal is too common, this is a reasonable substitute.

Miao got me a cup with our photo printed on it. The same photo printed on a teddy bear tshirt from last time. It was really a secondary school pic taken at toa payoh and can vividly remember the exact location and we had KFC right before taking those photos. It was wen's camera and Miao was caught not knowing how to use the camera at that time. haha.. Those were the days. Special Thanks to Zoey for the nice handwriting!!

Gonna rush my SEP stuff now and some FLV stuff. Aftermath of my sleeping patterns: Im YEARNING for sleep now. But I promised to get the things done=)
